Canada's politics shaped an image of weakness in Putin's mind: Here's how to change it.
When this whole Ukraine crisis started appearing on the news, and Russia looked ready to invade, we kept threatening them with sanctions. Well, it didn't work. Why? Because President Putin is a man that respects strength, not politicians who speak loudly and do nothing. Instead of training our children to compete and survive on their own, we tell them math is racist, let them smoke weed, and now even build housing for them. None of this BS happens in Russia. Russians are told they have to fend for themselves, that they have to work for a living, and earn their homes. In a nutshell, it's why the Russian army is willing to obey Putin and attack Ukraine. Therefore I think we need to make minute changes to better project an image of a nation that isn't going to just bend over and take it from behind all the time, based on these two guiding principles:
Reintroduce common sense into the education curriculum:
What is this BS that math is racist (https://questioning.co/ontario-canadas-new-woke-social-justice-math-curriculum-math-is-subjective-homophobic-and-racist/)? It is not racist to realize that if you have eight cartridges in your magazine clip and you fire five shots, you only have three cartridges left and at most can hit three enemy soldiers. If that is considered racist, how are we supposed to coordinate a defense in Europe? Strong men like Putin see this nonsense and realized how pathetic we are; it likely was a major incentive to strike Ukraine now.
The education system needs to be reformed to promote academic competence and discipline, while encouraging those that are falling behind to stay in the race.
Stop coddling the lazy:
In Russia everyone has to hold their own: earn their own income, pay for their own housing, and stay away from narcotics. Putin won't tolerate laziness, and that's why Russian soldiers aren't afraid of fighting. It's also why Ukrainian soldiers are doing such a stand up job of resisting a vastly superior military force. We need to train our citizens the same way. We need to stop giving them handouts after six months if they are able bodied citizens, as they should be able to find a job. We need to stop blowing $100 millions of CAD on supportive housing as people should have the discipline to say no to drugs on their own. We need to stop giving away billions in tax breaks to wealthy developers to build affordable housing because it teaches developers to rely on the govt when they really should be looking at the free markets, and it tells people they don't have to save and earn and not waste money on weed to afford a home.
Based on the above guiding principles, the following changes should be enacted:
1) Change the education curriculum to more closely meet the needs of national security with a more disciplined approach to STEM subjects and less on arts and athletics. The typical school day should start with similar to basic training type of physical fitness training to get students ready to learn, and students should learn some basic drills too in case we need to draft soldiers.
2) Abandon the existing concept of school year from September to June, and make it full year, and let students progress at their own pace. I'd rather we get everyone up to a basic level of readiness then try to pass/fail students within a fixed time period.
3) Defund social assistance like the welfare state, supportive and affordable housing. This money should be used for building up the navy.
4) Selective service draft so that able bodied people unemployed for over six months are enlisted into the military to reinforce troop levels in Europe.
Putin is a man that respects strength. He doesn't respect lazy weaklings who keep begging the govt for food, shelter, etc. Canadians need to show they are willing to fight alongside NATO to deter further Russian aggression.
